For Immediate Release

FORT LAUDERDALE — Allin Interactive announced a bevy of new DigiMobile application features and product enhancements today at the SeaTrade Cruise Global conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  The enhancements, including integrated communications, marketing, and social media features, are being demonstrated in the Allin Interactive booth #L3-304 at the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

Allin mobile application technology, available as a native application for iPhone, iPad, and Android Phone, allows cruise passengers to communicate with each other via chat and text while onboard, make off-ship calls, view real-time information such as the daily activity schedule, onboard specials, and their onboard folio, and conduct on-demand transactions such as shore excursion bookings, restaurant reservations, and show ticketing.

“While we are excited about the fact that over 15,000 cruise guests use our applications each and every day to communicate with each other, enhance their cruise experience, and avoid standing in lines, our goal is to continually push the boundaries of what a guest might want to do via the app,” stated John Troutwine, senior vice president of Allin Interactive.  “Our new features, particularly the social functions, are a direct reaction to the guests’ desire to socialize onboard, share posts, and meet new people, and our cruise clients’ desire to expand real-time interaction with guests.”

Allin has added the ability for guests to create a profile, including photo, age, relationship status, and interests, when they register the application onboard.  As a result, they can view profiles of other guests who have “opted-in” to the social program and can call or chat with selected guests.  In addition, a new onboard social board enables guests to post, reply to posts, like, and share posts to their other social media such as Facebook and Twitter.  In addition, onboard staff can monitor and participate in the social board, creating an entirely new communication channel for real-time updates, promotions, and important information.

In addition to the social functions, Allin has also added the ability for guests to initiate one-on-one chat sessions with specific onboard live customer service representatives, generating a new and convenient method for departments such as spa, future cruise sales, shore excursions, and dining to interact with guests.  “This ‘live concierge’ feature is a simple way to make guests aware of the ‘at your service 24X7’ nature of the cruise environment,” stated Eric Immerman, senior vice president of software development at Allin Interactive.  “We are simply providing the means by which our cruise clients can fulfill the expectations of their guests in the way they want to communicate in today’s world.”

More DigiMobile features are on the way, including keyless door entry, room thermostat and lighting controls, wayfinding, pre/post-cruise communications via the in-app messaging module, and cellular number porting.  “We have already invested over 50,000 development hours in our DigiMobile platform to date, which has placed us in a technology leadership position,” said Mr. Immerman.  “But we will continue to evolve the application to meet changing consumer expectations and integrate new hospitality technology advancements while maximizing the ‘buy’ side of the ‘build vs. buy’ equation for our current and prospective clients.”
