For Immediate Release

TORONTO, June 27, 2017 — Allin Interactive announced today at the HITEC conference in Toronto that it has integrated its DigiHD™ in-room interactive television platform with Amazon Alexa, which creates a completely voice-driven ITV experience for hotel guests.  This integration is being demonstrated to the hotel and resort industry for the first time at the HITEC conference in the Allin Interactive booth #319 during exhibition hours from June 27-29.

“We are pleased to announce the completion of this integration project with Amazon Alexa as we now can offer guests the convenience of in-room television with interactive voice controls,” stated Eric Immerman, SVP of Software Development at Allin Interactive.  “And, this provides us with a solid platform from which to layer additional voice-driven capabilities on top of our DigiHD ITV, DigiMobile™ and DigiPublic™ solutions for hotels, resorts and cruise ships.”

At HITEC Allin is demonstrating full television control including power on/off, volume control and mute, and tuning by channel name (“Alexa, tune to HBO”) and channel number (“Alexa, tune to channel 7”).  In addition, guests can navigate the entirety of Allin’s interactive television interface using voice commands (up, down, left, right, select, play, pause, fast forward, rewind, resume, etc.)

“Put simply, we have completely replicated our TV remote control with Amazon Alexa,” said Mr. Immerman. “We now have an excellent baseline to move to client-driven voice features such as room controls, guest queries and on-site ordering.”
